![]() ![]() I’ve come to realize that when I’m being pulled mentally and physically in a number of different directions, I cannot focus on short stories or essays. Now, two weeks after reading the last story, I’m having even more difficulties bringing them to mind – even after looking at my highlights. At the same time, I had trouble remembering any of the stories clearly after finishing. Without a doubt, she’s a master wordsmith. If it’s a new-to-me-author, I also get a sense of whether I’d like to read one of his or her novels in the future. I’ll read a story every other night or so before closing my eyes. I enjoy reading a collection of short stories while I have another book going. ![]()
